9′ 5wt The Brook Carbon Fiber Fly Rod – Natural Finish
This previously completed 9′ 5wt fly rod is an example of The Brook, one of Yellowfin Custom Fly Rods’ signature customizable rod designs.
The Brook is built around an a-Helix carbon fiber blank with a distinctive natural, unsanded finish. Rather than a conventional painted blank, the exposed carbon fiber texture gives the rod an understated appearance that highlights the material itself.
This particular build features a medium-fast action, offering a balance of smooth casting feel and responsiveness. Its 9-foot length and 5-weight configuration make it a versatile choice for trout fishing on rivers and lakes, including dry flies, nymphs, and smaller streamers.
The rod is finished with gunmetal-colored components, a wood reel seat insert, and transparent epoxy wraps with warm accent colors. Its natural carbon fiber finish and carefully selected components create a distinctive, personalized appearance.
